Sarah Palin & Arabian Horses

It seems as though everyone has an opinion about the Gov. of Alaska and Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin. Its time to put mine out there. But, what I have to say is more that just opinion it's fact. As they say in the Army, skip the rhetoric and put the bottom line up front (BLUF). She's just not ready.

Its funny. If you Google Sarah Palin va Barack Obama, you get these websites with this article comparing the two. Most of the sites have the same article and its biased as hell. (Here's a site that starts with the bias but someone makes a response that lays the facts out there. Check it out. http://www.puma08.com/2008/09/02/sarah-palin-vs-barack-obama/)

So, let me cut to the chase and put the proof out there. Has everyone noticed how Sarah Palin has still yet to give an interview, show up anyplace by herself or even say anything different from what was said in her speech? If she's ready, how come she skipped the Sunday morning shows? That's right, she doesn't answer to the media. She answers to the people. And how will the people learn about her stances if she doesn't show up to talk? Again, she doesn't show up to talk because she doesn't know enough about the issues to say anything of value. She is being trained right now. She is being briefed and taught what to say and how to say it. She's learning about all the talking points. But if she is so learned and well versed and has so much more experience than Barack Obama, why does she need all of this training? But don't believe me, just listen to what's been put out by the McCain campaign. THEY said, "she's not ready just yet." They also said that she needs to spend some time with her family before her son leaves for Iraq. Interesting. She can juggle family and work but has put off work for over a week to be with family. So, when the nation is in crisis and we need someone to negotiate with the Russians (and I'm sure Sarah Palin is the best one because Russia is so close to Alaska. I hear she's fluent in Russian too. Yeah, right.) and her kid is sick, what will she do? Well, I'm sure some people are saying, "How can you ask that question? That's sexist." Oh, really. She mentioned that she's a mom, she has five kids, one with Down Syndrome and one who is pregnant. She has said that as a working mom, a mayor and a governor, she is more qualified than Barak Obama. Ok. Well, what has she done as a mayor, a governor and a working mom? Is every mom a good mom, just because she's a mom? Every mayor qualified to be VP because he or she was a mayor? Would everyone who believes that being a mayor qualifies you, believe that Ray Nagin, the mayor of New Orleans (a much bigger city than Wasilla) should be a VP contender? Of course not. Because Ray Nagain is not viewed as someone who did a good job. What about Mike Brown? He was the director of FEMA but had no emergency management experience. We see where that got us. But as John McCain said, "No Arabian horse died." Remember, Sarah Palin brought up her family, not the media, then turned around and said the media was biased for asking about the things she brought up. Interesting, there was a woman who a few months ago said that women shouldn't complain if they run for office and are asked questions. Women shouldn't complain about sexism. They should just get out there and answer questions and prove that they're the best. The person said that she didn't like the complaining by women because it sounds like the person is whining. That was Sarah Palin talking about Hilliary Clinton. How quickly we forget.

Like it or not, we are in the middle of a fiscal crisis. Today, the federal government just took over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, two of the largest lending companies in the nation. They own at least half of all of the mortgages in the nation. And a lot of their stock is owned by the Chinese. Funny how that works. They own our homes and the Chinese own them.

Do we want to put someone in charge who is ready on day one to make a difference or someone who cant even speak to the media because she doesn't yet know what to say?

Hey, at least no Arabian horses will loose their homes.
